Mapping of invasive plants in PLA Křivoklátsko
Popová, Karolína ; Tesařová, Blanka (advisor) ; Petrus, David (referee)
In this thesis I have dealt with invasive plants which were mapped during the summer of 2015 in the defined area of interest in Křivoklátsko. Plant species Impatiens glandulifera, Solidago canadensis Solidago gigantea, Reynoutria japonica, which occur in the relevant territory, belong among the most spread invasive species in the Czech Republic In the first bibliographical part of this research I deal with the general definition of invasive plants with a detailed characteristic of the monitored plants as well as the methods of invasive species management and the specifics of the mapped area which covers most of the Berounka Site of Community Importance. The practical part describes the research methodology and the field research. The final chapter evaluates the occurrence of the species in relation to the overall relevant area. It was found that the largest area is occupied by the species Impatiens glandulifera near the river Berounka, which facilitates its spreading. Other species represent minimal coverage in this area.
Invasive plants in PLA Křivoklátsko
Drhlíková, Kristýna ; Tesařová, Blanka (advisor) ; Petrus, David (referee)
This thesis deals with the occurrence of invasive plants species such as Heracleum mantegazzianum, Solidago canadensis and gigantea, Impatiens glandulifera, Reynoutria japonica, sachalinensis and bohemica., which are the most feared plants in the Czech Republic. Invasions are an environmental problem on a global scale, which is increasingly the more discussed. The mapping took place in the summer of 2015 on the territory of protected natural region Křivoklátsko, where there is a large extent Sites of Community Importance. The thesis is also focused on the characteristics of the area with European significance. It evaluated the incidence of plant sites, their surface representation and percentage of species in different habitats. Impatiens glandulifera, near Berounka river, was the most surface represented, as the river is the main source of spread for this species. Another occuring species was Solidago canadensis and only two specimen of Reynoutria japonica. The invaded areas expansion on the area of interest is minimal.
Evaluating the Determining Factors of Income Inequality across the US States
Petruš, Dávid ; Bartoš, Vojtěch (advisor) ; Kovanda, Lukáš (referee)
What explains the development of inequality in the United States after the World War II? Which factors contribute to the evolution? A growing inequality is a phenomenon caused by rather secular factors, such as growing demand for skills, though short-run, time-specific factors can explain some of the difference too. This thesis summarizes some of the most prominent works in the field of economic inequality and provides additional evidence by analyzing the recent data. Further parts provide a cross-sectional analysis of US counties, congressional districts, and states and seeks to evaluate the key factors related with income inequality measured by Gini coefficient. The distribution of education and human capital are among the most important factors in both time-series and cross-sectional analysis.
