The aim of the diploma thesis is to design profile straightener, which is used for straightening U, I and L profiles during their motion. The machine is a part of the rolling mill where it is used for finishing operation – straightening. The thesis contains selection of optimal solution, pre–calculations and control calculations, description of the machine and its function, and required design documentation according to specified parameters.

The objective of this bachelor’s thesis is to design a lifting device for a coil of sheet metal, which is lifted together with its carriage. Overcoming altitude is 10 m. The mass of the sheet of metal and the carriage is circa 54 t. The thesis contains a technical report with the description of the lifting device, its function and control calculations according to task parameters. The required design documentation is included.
