Dekompozice dřeva v horských temperátních lesích a jeho dopad na pedogenezi
Paták, Ondřej
This thesis deals with the monitoring of the impact of decaying wood on the soil characteristics and the related development of the soil profile. The subject of the research is the soils in the Žofínský prales National Nature Reserve in Novohradské mountains, with the predominant European Beech (Fagus sylvatica L.). Samples taken under the decaying stems are compared with the control samples of soils with the predominant leaf layer on the surface. In the soil beneath the beech stems, a significantly higher carbon content, higher pH, higher nutrient concentrations, lower exchange acidity, and mostly lower Al and Fe content were found. Decaying wood most affected the horizon A, more intense podzolization was not detected unambiguously.

This thesis engages with assessing the impact of fertilizers used in adverse habitat conditions in the mountain forest regeneration. On the research area Vřesovské sedlo in the 8th FVZ in Hrubý Jesenik Mts. was applied at planting fertilizers SILVAMIX R 30, SILVAMIX R 30 S, AGLUFORM 90 S, calcareous dolomite and SILVAMIX R 50 S where was also applied preparation VERMAKTIV Stimul. The aim is to evaluate the effect of each of the individual variants, make comparison with the unfertilized control variant and assess the possibility of using this chemical amelioration of soils. After the first year of application of fertilizer is already shown some effects. Height increments were not affected, but the nutritional changes were detected. Useful result was achieved in variant SILVAMIX R 50 S + VERMAKTIV Stimul.
