Nonverbal communication in nursery school

The main topic of my thesis is the non-verbal communication in preschool education (kindergarten) and its usage in the form of specific signs or gestures, alternative objects, signals and pictograms. The theoretical part of my thesis focuses on the area of non-verbal communication, describes the development of a child from the point of view of the verbal and non-verbal communication and it also mentions the communicative competence that a preschool child should reach. The aim of the practical part of my thesis is to find out what means of non-verbal communication the kindergarten educators use, as well as a deeper understanding of the impact of applying these means in the environment of kindergartens. To reach the aim of this survey was used the method of questionnaire investigation as well as a detailed interview. The survey results in a list of discovered specific means of non-verbal communication that can be inspiring for people working in educational as well as extra-curricular institutions.
