Differences in management of team - differences in leading a group between men a women

The thesis looks into a problem of group leadership differences between men and women. The theoretical part covers basic gender distinctions, explains communication issues and introduces basic terminology on the field of Scout activity. The practical part is situated in Scout environment. It investigates differences in public opinion on male vs. female Scout leader status, opinions on appropriate leader competencies and on various styles of leadership of male and female bodies. The research has been conducted by means of questionnaires and follow-up in-person discussion. As the research concludes, a male leader is generally accepted as being better suited, although the respondents themselves deny this fact throughout the discussion.
