Phraseological expression in fiction and poetry - their functions and development

This project is devoted to tracking idioms in an artistic style. The project consists of two parts. The first theoretical part contains explanation of crucial terms, classification of idioms and their formation mechanism and etc. Theoretical information illustrates examples of idioms. It followed by interpretation of the literature and stylistics. The second part contains practical research. Project deals with the types of idioms, their function and changes in individual texts of Czech literature. The aim is to determine how authors with phraseological units are working and what are the common and different features of idioms in texts across time. In 4 selected periods will be presented common and specific features of phraseological units and then create generalizing synthesis.

The bachelor work deals with idioms and their use of functional writings. The bachelor work consists of two parts. The first theoretical part contains explanation of crucial terms, classification of idioms and their formation mechanism and etc. Theoretical information illustrates examples of idioms. The second part contains introduction into theory of functional writings and chapters, which follows using phraseology in particular functional writings. This mainly analytic part analysis at least ten texts each functional writings and follows frequency and updating found idioms. The bachelor work tries to prove the functionality of the idioms units of each functional writings. The automation and updating cycle of idioms it is described from their characters. Three examples texts of each functional writings are introduced in enclosure. In the end the bachelor work sums up ways and means use of idioms in functional writings.
