Lifestyle of the students of ZSF JCU
PEŠEK, Zdeněk
This thesis summarizes basic information about lifestyle and deals with this issue. It draws attention to current scientific findings and recommendations in this area. The theoretical part is focused on areas of lifestyle. It looks at factors which influence human health and their division according to their seriousness. In particular, it focuses on five major elements which are: nutrition, exercise, smoking, alcohol and drug use. I chose these factors because they are most influenced by human decision-making and thereby most dependent on human will. First of all I deal with nutrition, especially with balanced diet and consequent impact on health. I also focused on physical activity and its positive effect on people. The next part of the thesis deals with smoking and analyses its negative impact on human health. Alcohol consumption is included as a fourth attribute which has a positive influence on people in small doses but negative influence in excessive doses. As the last factor which has a negative influence on people I included drug abuse. Results of the research aimed at the issues mentioned above are presented in the empirical part. The research part of the thesis was carried out using the questionnaire method and undertakes identification of the research sample, alcohol, exercise, diet, diseases and sleep. The research results show that students of General nursing smoke more than students of other study programs. Alcohol consumption is at the same level in students of all study programs. Students of study program Paramedic have most physical activity according to the research. My thesis therefore points out how students of Faculty of Health and Social Studies at University of South Bohemia in České Budějovice care for their own health and how interested or non interested they are in their lifestyle.
