Recycling of wastewater from meat industry

The motivation of this work is to provide the reader with an insight into the issue of wastewater recycling, with a closer focus on wastewater from the meat industry. The thesis discusses the issue of wastewater in the Czech Republic, including legislation and obligations of polluters, statistics of meat production and consumption in the Czech Republic, which gives the readers an idea of the state of wastewater. The main part of the work is devoted to wastewater recycling and purification. Conventional methods of wastewater treatment are thoroughly analyzed. Furthermore, the thesis examines conducted studies of wastewater treatment, which combine the aforementioned conventional methods, including their major advantages and disadvantages. The final section is dedicated to the conceptual draft of a recycling line for selected wastewater based on the discussed studies. The draft combines electrocoagulation, ultrafiltration, and reverse osmosis, which, according to conducted studies, appear to be a way of wastewater recycling with high potential.
International and European aspects of protection of industrial property

Resumé The field of legal protection of industrial property has gone through a turbulent period since the end of the 19th century, as it has had to react, not only to the fast development of international trade but also to the increasing importance of research and technological progress. This requested creation of international systems of protection for individual subjects of industrial property, as well as the conclusion of many multilateral international treaties, which aim to ensure minimal standards of protection and unify fundamental principles and substantive and procedural rules, has significantly helped to simplify the position of applicants seeking protection in more countries, as well as those responsible for overseeing these rights. This thesis aims to provide a complex view of the field of industrial property rights and their protection, which will also be reflected in the individual breakdown of the chapters. After the introductory explanation of the industrial property concept and the clarification of the importance of its legal regulation, an analysis of the historical context and development leading to the gradual internationalization of the field, follows. Protection of selected industrial property rights and international law

Resumé - Protection of Selected Industrial Property Rights and International Law Within the last approx. two hundred years, industrial production has made a huge progress and at the same time international trade has grown very significantly. The need of industrial property protection of a good quality at the international level led to conclusion of many multilateral international treaties mainly at the WIPO and also to the creation of international systems which ensure the needed level of industrial property protection and also facilitate international cooperation as well as the process of applying and administration of rights in several countries. At its very beginning, the thesis describes the industrial property in general and it deals with its definition, conception and specificity since it is essential for better understanding of the following chapters. In the next step, the thesis presents the cornerstones and the most important treaties of the industrial property field from the international perspective. These are the Paris Convention and the TRIPS Agreement - two treaties that even today keep their high significance.
