Equinní rekurentní uveitida
PÍCHOVÁ, Dominika
ERU significantly impacts horse breeding not only in Europe. This disease, which can lead to recurrent inflammation of the uveal tract of the eye, is the main cause of blindness in horses. Its management and treatment require a careful and proactive approach from horse owners and veterinary ophthalmologists to minimize its effects and improve the quality of life for affected animals. Prevention, early diagnosis, and innovative treatment methods can play a key role in combating ERU. The aim of the bachelor's thesis was to evaluate available data on the occurrence and treatment of ERU in various horses divided by age, gender, and type of housing through a questionnaire survey.
