Functional carbon layers on fiber structures

In this master‘s thesis, we will be informed about creation of carbon coatings on glass fibre structures. Described methods of carbon coating will be compared and we will chose appropriate method for available laboratory in constitution of electronic technologies. Thanks to it’s low price and simplicity, it was firstly chosen to test carbon deposition using dehydration of sugar using concentrated hydrochloric acid. Results of initial experiments helped to develop and propose new methods that were tested using multiple new microfiber samples. Results from these experiments helped choose a correct subtrate on which a function layer of carbon was deposited and later analyzed.

Negative lead electrode for hybrid electric vehicles

This bachelors thesis is focusing on degradational proceses occurring in electrodes of lead-acid batteries working in parcial state of charge used in hybrid electric vehicles. Studied topics include storage of electrical energy, hybrid powertrains and lead-acid accumulators. Experimental cells have been made and were later used in experiments maintaining partial state of charge. This work is focused on finding a link between silanized glass fibres added to the electrodes and lowering the amount of degradation of cells.

This bachelor thesis deals with the construction of a rotary tablet press for use in the pharmaceutical industry. First part describes the process of tableting and then the types of rotary tablet presses and their uses. The second part is focused on the construction of a rotary tablet press and the basic strength calculations of its parts.
