The thesis deals with the economic situation of organic farms in Czech republic and also comparison with farming businesses in the conventional mode. The first part deals with definition of organic farming, its specifics, current valid legislation and national integration, associated with this sector. The work itself is focused on the situation of organic farming in the Czech republic and worldwide. There are described selected economic characteristic of the selected group of companies as a whole. To achieve the objective of this thesis, it is derived from the Farm Accountancy Data Network of the Czech republic. From the obtained results show that organic farming has an increasing trend in the long term, both in the Czech republic and in the world. From an economic point of view the obtained results we can conclude that organic and conventional agriculture are different while comparison. A number of indicators made by conventional businesses achieve better results. The environmental grants gained by companies seem to be essential to the economic situation of enterprises.

The first part of the thesis describes the scope of organic agriculture. Includes its definition, history, and development in the Czech Republic, the concepts of organic farming principles and objectives, legislation and signage. In the second part I will focus on the status of organic agriculture in the South Moravian region and characterized the entrepreneurial activities of the company Sonnentor, s. r. o. and I processed SWOT analysis.
