Relation to knowledge in fifth-graders

This diploma work deals with relation between the cognition and pupils of the fifth class of the primary school. As a source material we have used knowledge balances of 110 children from four schools in the city of Prague and one school at the countryside. "From your birth until now, you have learned many things. Think about them. What else would you like to learn? " Such instruction was given to them. The study contains a quantitative and qualitative analysis of reported items as well as an insight into the respondents' subjective sense of the presented knowledge. The aim of the study is to find out the meaning of the "cognition" for children attending the fifth class, what is important for them, what is worth while to talk about.
