Creating a classroom climate with a pupil with a specific behavioral disorder.
NAJMONOVÁ, Marie
The dissertation thesis is aimed at two mutually affecting topics - classroom climate and students suffering from the Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). Theoretical part of the thesis deals with the specifics of the ADHD and with the issue of educating students suffering from the disorder. The theoretical part also deals with the issue of classroom climate and its participants: teachers, students and their parents. The final part of the theory comments on the experts dealing with the participants of classroom climate; the members of school counselling centres. The empirical part of the thesis presents two-part qualitative research aimed at the question of the influence of the Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) on the classroom climate. The second part of the research was oriented to the influence of a student suffering from the Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) on other factors creating classroom climate. The outcome of the first research is represented by the multiple case study of students suffering from Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), based on semi-structured interviews with students, their parents, teachers and other educational staff involved in the educational process in school. The outcome of the second research is represented by the case study of a classroom attended by students suffering from the Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD).
