This diploma thesis deals with summarization of information about Emilia Fryšová, a woman whose most important life roles included being an educator, ethnographer, and publicist. The first step in my processing for this work has been to research of given topic, then I have categorized discovered information based on its contents, I compared the information, and lastly analysed it. During the writing process, I have been verifying new leads and discovering today's long-forgotten facts. As I have already mentioned, besides teaching Fryšová had a close relation to ethnography, which primarily included cognizance of the South Bohemian Blata area, which she came to like, when she started to live and work in Soběslav. For a better context of this topic, I have decided to dedicate the first two chapters to themes that are closely connected to Fryšová, such as the life of teachers and the beginnings of ethnography in Bohemia. The main chapters of my thesis focus on detailed information about Fryšová. The third chapter is oriented towards her life as a whole. In the fourth chapter, I more deeply examine her association work and the activities as well as places and people linked to it.
