Factorization of quaternion and dual quaternion polynomials
Molnár, Michal ; Šír, Zbyněk (advisor) ; Vršek, Jan (referee)
In this thesis we provide basic algorithms for factorization of polynomials over quater- nions and dual quaternions. In the case of quaternions, we translate the art of finding roots of given polynomial into factorization. In the case of dual quaternions, we analyse the case of motion polynomials. We show when it is possible to find a factorization of such polynomial into linear terms and give a workaround if it is not. All of this is supplied with geometric interpretations. More specifically, we use the factorizations to construct mechanical linkages. 1
Realistic Roundabouts Simulator
Molnár, Miroslav ; Petrlík, Jiří (referee) ; Korček, Pavol (advisor)
Constant increase of the road traffic brings some new problems. Finding solutions requires an exploration of road transportation. The aim of this work is to design and develop the microscopic simulator based on the cellular automaton for simulating roundabouts. Such simulator allows to create different types of roundabouts that can be connected to each other by roads. Within the simulator, there is possibility to change different parameters, e.g. value of the visibility, the sliding friction, the maximum speed and the adherence to a safe distance on the road. At the end of this work there are the results of the simulations in the different traffic situations summarized.
Dynamometric measurements for 11-year-old boys
MOLNÁR, Matěj
The aim of the bachelor's thesis is to assess the results of measurements with three devices evaluating the strength of the muscles of the upper limb (Collin, Takei and the Vernier school system). The group of probands consisted of 37 boys aged 11 years from the Vysočina region. In addition to muscle strength, somatic dimensions such as body height, body weight and skin fold over the triceps were also measured. Compared to the norm for the Czech population (VI. Natiowide Anthropological Survey 2001), the average values of body height (p = 0.01) differ statistically significantly in favor of our group, the values of body weight (p = 0.95), Body Mass index (p = 0.11) and skin fold over the triceps (p = 0.58) did not differ statistically significantly. The student's t-test revealed statistically significant differences between the mean values of the group in the measurements of the Takei, Vernier and Collin instruments in favor of the Takei dynamometer. Correlation analysis showed that the values of hand grip strength between Takei-Vernier (p = 0.00) and Takei-Collin (p = 0.00) correlated statistically significantly. However, for Takei and Vernier (first measurement, right hand, r = 0.81) correlated more closely than with the Takei and Collin instruments (first measurement, right hand, r = 0.51).
Subdivision curves and their convergence
Molnár, Michal ; Šír, Zbyněk (advisor) ; Surynková, Petra (referee)
In this thesis we summarize the basic terms of subdivision and accompany them with examples of widely used schemes. We also show our own implementations of those schemes. In further parts we define the so-called Exponential scheme, which will be a subject of our research, and we illustrate it's behavior using our own images. We focus on properties of curves this scheme produces. As we will see, those curves are C1 -continuous. We also sum up the terms necessary for our research of subdivision curves, which will form the basis of our proof justifying said property of Exponential scheme. 1
Filtering Algorithms for Tabular Constraints
Molnár, Martin ; Barták, Roman (advisor) ; Surynek, Pavel (referee)
The thesis studies an implementation of arc-consistency filtering algorithms for constraints defined in extension. We propose a new concept of binarization for decomposing high-arity ad-hoc constraints into networks of binary constraints. A theory proving correctness of the binarization is developed. We study the existing algorithms from the perspective of our binarization concept and propose possible binarization schemes for ad-hoc constraints defined in some of the common forms. In the thesis we also propose the filtering algorithms for the elementary constraints. A compound propagator then uses the elementary constraint filtering algorithms to propagate over the high-arity constraint. Finally, we experimentally evaluate the proposed approaches on constraints generated when solving the planning problems.
Object-oriented Command Shell
Molnár, Martin ; Ježek, Pavel (advisor) ; Šerý, Ondřej (referee)
The goal of the proposed work is to explore possibilities of enriching command line interpreter programming by an object oriented approach. Author studies options of harmonizing concepts of the OOP and the batch processing and designs appropriate compromise between these two concepts. The main goal of the work is to create an implementation of the chosen design in the Unix and Microsoft Windows operating system families. This work describes decisions during the implementation and also include user manual of the resulting application.
