Dynamic analysis and prototyping of coilgun
Militký, Ondřej ; Musil, Filip (referee) ; Rubeš, Ondřej (advisor)
This thesis deals with the description of the Gaussian rifle principle. It describes the physical principle, on which the device works, the design of the structure and its advantages and limitations. Furthermore, a computational model is created in the Matlab Simulink environment, which simulates the behavior of a projectile during a shot. Based on this model, a prototype Gaussian rifle is designed and constructed. The prototype is then tested and compared with a computational model to determine the overall effectiveness of the created rifle.
Gravitational energy storage
Militký, Ondřej ; Špiláček, Michal (referee) ; Pospíšil, Jiří (advisor)
This thesis characterizes the most common systems for storing electricity, including principles, stages of development and major installations. The thesis is mainly focused on the issue of gravity storage of electricity. The construction of individual types of storages, the phases in which individual projects are right now and their expected development are described here. Part of the thesis is the design of a gravity storage model showing the principle of operation and verification of the possibility of producing a small energy storage in home conditions. Furthermore, the energy and economic possibilities of installing a home gravity storage of energy and a gravity storage on an industrial scale are assessed.
