The topic of this thesis is analysis of the logistics sector in Czech Republic. The aim is to provide a comprehensive analysis of the sector, involving its financial health, sensitivity of its sales to the economic cycle and its last years trends. Financial health is reviewed by the methods of financial analysis, on a selection of 19 companies as the sector representatives. The values of calculated financial indicators are compared to the values for the company DHL, s. r. o. as the current market leader. Sensitivity to economic cycle is then reviewed by analysis of correlation between sales in the sector and GDP in Czech Republic. Calculated correlation coefficients are very high, which means strong sensitivity. The last part of the thesis evaluates the results of each analysis and states conclusions about current trends in the companies operation. These results imply that the companies generally operate with a very small share of tangible assets and that they are mostly backed by liabilities. Regarding to calculated values of financial indicators and the structure of the companies financial reports, the thesis concludes with recommendations and advice how to improve their financial health.
