Malcharová, Johana ; Janišová, Míla (advisor) ; Kučerová, Magdalena (referee)
French as a foreign language is taught by default in secondary schools. There are undoubtedly many ways and means to pass on a foreign language to students. In this work, I will specifically focus on the influence of French literature in classes of FLE. How much its inclusion in mainstream teaching can enrich a student's relationship with a foreign culture, facilitating the process of acquiring foreign language itself. This bachelor's thesis aims not only to defend and emphasize the importance of French literature in the FLE classes, but also to map the extent to which French literature is currently part of French language teaching in secondary schools in the Czech Republic, and how its potential inclusion is viewed by students and teachers. Keywords french literature, language skills, high school, teaching french, cultural context, reading comprehension
