The first part of this bachelor’s thesis covers 3D printing methods, materials used in FDM 3D printing and posisbility of its use in manufacturing of climbing holds. Second part of this thesis is focused on mechanical analysis of designed holds. The remaining chapters are designated to actual printing, testing and economical evaluation of these holds.

Influence of calcifications on stress states in arteries

The first part of this thesis covers anatomy of blood vessel walls, their material characteristics and their computational modeling. Second part is focused on determining the influence of calcifications on stress states in common carotid artery. In the rest of the thesis, models of plate calcification and spheical calcifications distributed in the circumferential and axial directions of the artery are compared.
