MARŠÍČKOVÁ, Kristýna
This bachelor thesis called " The violence of clients committed on social workers at the Authority of Social and Legal Protection of Children" is divided into theoretical and empirical part, it deals with the issue of aggressive behaviour on the part of the client to social workers. The theoretical part of the bachlor thesis consists of six chapters. The first chapter defines the concept of social-legal protection of children, describes who is a social worker and the education of a social worker. The second chapter defines terms such as violence, aggression, aggressiveness and hostility. The third and fourth chapters are devoted to violence and aggression, their types and forms. The fifth chapter focuses on the causes of aggression. This chapter also discusses the assumptions for aggressive behaviours such as biological, heredity, and environmental impact. The last chapter deals with violence in the workplace and social work with an aggressive client. It also discusses the course and consequences of the attack, as well as prevention and assistance after an attack by an aggressive client. In the empirical part, the main aim is to find out the occurrence of aggressive behaviour of clients attending the Authority of Social and Legal Protection of Children. The partial aim is to find out the most frequent manifestations of aggressive behaviour and what are the possibilities of preventive measures against an aggressive client. There have also been three research questions based on the research objective. The first research question is the effort to reveal the ways in which social workers work with aggressive clients, the second research question is what are the most frequent manifestations of aggressive behaviour of clients attending the Authority of Social and Legal Protection of Children and the third research question asks who most often commits violence against social workers. A qualitative research strategy was established to achieve the research objective of the bachelor thesis. The basic method is the method of questioning, semi-structured technique of interviews . The interviews were conducted with eight social workers working at the Authority of Social and Legal Protection of Children in Kaplice. A selective selection was used to select communication partners. The interviews took place in the premises of the Authority of Social and Legal Protection of Children, in the office of the given social worker, always with their consent. From the results of the interviews, it is clear that almost all interviewed social workers have met up with the aggressive client at least once for their practise. Most of the workers said that the acts of violence are mainly committed by men. Furthermore, it was found that each worker has an approach to dealing with an aggressive client. In many cases, the answers were the same. The results show that the most frequent manifestations of aggressive behaviour on the part of the client are verbal assaults, in which swearing, threats and the like are primarily used. The bachelor thesis could serve as a background material for social workers and students of social work.
