Design of roundabout I/35, I/57 and II/150 with strong left-turn

The diploma thesis is focused on insufficient capacity problem of roundabout I/35, I/57 and II/150 in the Valašské Meziříčí town. It is based on engineering survey according to which three possible models are designed. Capacity assesment is made on each of these models. Throug the evaluation is selected the most suitable design of turbo roundabout type "knee", which is technically processed and substantiated by text and drawing documentation.

Optimization of design parameters of vertical alignment

The thesis is focused on mapping the up-to-date progress of urban and rural roads vertical alignment calculation, including verification of valid metodology and subsequent comparison with calculations already performed. Aim of the thesis is to highlight possible incorrect procedures within the computations listed in standards, and explain their inappropriateness concerning particular designs. The study should result not just in the optimalization of computing metodology (especially for crest vertical curves), but also in adjustment of the table containing the smallest radiuses of these vertical curves.

The value of travel time in transportation

The purpose of this work is to determine and analyze the value of travel time for people who regularly commute to work. I appear from the results of questionnaire, above all from the responds relating to the commuting to work. This examination was made among the inhabitants of several villages in South Bohemia region.
