Bezpečnostní situace Tuaregu a jejich úsilí při budování státu

This paper aims to provide basic characteristics and also specific features of the indigenous people of Africa, in this case inhabitants called Tuaregs living on the territory of Mali. The work evaluates legal claims of the Tuaregs in nation-building, as well as their efforts in order to form own state. The paper provides analysis of the occupied region and attempts/fights of the "nation" to create an independent state precisely on the territory of Mali. Situation before and after the French Intervention in Mali and various aspects of relations between former French colony Mali, France and Tuaregs are evaluated along with the historical background, development, transformation in these periods: period of decolonization, period after Mali gained independence, period before France intervened and the period after. Paper provides comprehensive overview of the problem analyzing the issue of the roots of the conflict related to controversial North and South of Mali.
