The climate of Norway as a factor influencing tourism
Lhotka, Ondřej ; Sládek, Ivan (advisor) ; Míková, Taťána (referee)
This bachelor's work describes the elements of Norwegian climate, which have immediate influence on human activities in the nature. This work insist on the regime of sunshine in reference to the astronomical and meteorological factors. The duration of daylight and the presence of the polar day and the polar night is described for several places in Norway. The sunny and dark periods are defined for Oslo and Tromsø, the amount of cloud cover throught the year is illustrated, too. The temperature conditions are characterised throught the use of the map with mean annual temperature and the tables with mean month temperatures, mean month minimum temperatures and extreme temperatures. The wind regime is described in the table and illustrated throught the use of five wind roses. After it there is a map with mean annual precipitation and the tables with mean month precipitatation and the amount of precipitatation-days for several places. The height of the snow cover throught the year is described, too. At the end there is a suggestion about the content of "climatic guidebook" and a recommendation of proper time for visiting Norway.
Climate continentality with regard to radiational and circulational factors
Janušková, Miriam ; Sládek, Ivan (advisor) ; Míková, Taťána (referee)
This thesis' topics are measurements of climate's continentality and evaluations of relations between various indexes of thermic and ombric continentalities. All indexes are plotted on continentality maps of Europe created using the ArcGIS application. Important part of the thesis consists of practical validation of relevancy of the new method for measuring degree of continentality based on research of phase shift (delay) of annual temperature diagram in relation to the sum of extraterrestrial radiation. This thesis deals mainly with the proof of closest relation between newly purposed index of thermic continentality and the pre-existing ombric indexes in comparison to the indexes of thermic continentality currently in use. Furthermore the thesis dwells into explanations of causes for territorial differences in new continentality index values related to circulatory and radiatory ratios of the Indian summer subseason. By examining the newly purposed index of thermic continentality in various latitudes it was determined that this method for measuring continentality is not applicable for several areas of subtropical zone where the temperature diagram is not majorly effected by solar radiation but instead by other factors. Therefore the results of this thesis include cartographic representation of the...
Evaluation of climate continentality, an attempt to create new method
Czepiecová, Miriam ; Sládek, Ivan (advisor) ; Míková, Taťána (referee)
Evaluation of climate continentality, an attempt to create new method This bachelor thesis deals with the thermal climate continentality of Europe and exclusively and more thoroughly of the Czech Republic. Various definitions of continentality are stated in the beginning. The thesis offers an overview of the most notorious known indexes yet discovered which determine a degree of the continentality. The goal of the thesis was to find a new method of expressing the continentality degree and its verification in praxis. This method is based on a time shift of one-year air temperature development from development of extraterrestrial radiation. It was proved through a research of data from 443 european and 151 Czech meteorological stations that the time shift of average air temperatures and that of the extraterrestrial radiation gets smaller the more inland location of the survey station is and in contrary gets bigger with the altitude of the survey station. Therefore the initial hypothesis was verified and a new C index of continentality was defined. It was proved through this index that for the area of Europe the continentality depends mostly upon the distance from the coast and the more thorough research of continentality of Czech Republic proved mainly its dependency on altitude. In the conclusion of...

Cílem dílčího projektu 01 je kompletně zpracovat Atlasu podnebí České republiky pro všechny hlavní klimatické charakteristiky. Po prověření reálného stavu dat a možností jejich zpracování bylo navrženo doplnění průvodních osmi částí Atlasu (teplotní charakteristiky, srážkové charakteristiky, charakteristiky sněhové pokrývky, vlhkost vzduchu, sluneční záření, sluneční svit a oblačnost, tlak vzduchu a vítr, nebezpečné atmosférické jevy, fenologické charakteristiky) o samostatné kapitoly teplota půdy, dynamická klimatologie a klasifikace podnebí. v roce 2004 byly řešeny tyto úkoly: Dokončení inventarizace dat pro jednotlivé prvky; Vyhodnocení a výběr vhodné sítě stanic; Rekonstrukce chybějících údajů (pro vlhkost vzduchu, oblačnost, sluneční svit a záření, fenologické charakteristiky a nebezpečné atmosférické jevy a Vypracování metodiky zpracování jednotlivých charakteristik. Studie obsahuje návrh obsahu Atlasu podnebí ČR.
