Family guide throughout intensive care unit - creating website

Key words: intensive care; relatives; information resources; web One of the most important ICU patient's family members' needs is to be sufficiently informed. However, the information transfer occurs in stressful circumstances and in an unfamiliar environment, which impairs the ability to remember and understand the information provided by the healthcare team. Information materials, which can be both printed and digital, are a useful tool to complement verbal communication with family members. While there is a plethora of such information materials available on foreign websites, there is no similar comprehensive set of information in the Czech language. The aim of this work was to create a Guide throughout Intensive Care Unit. The guide was inspired by available foreign web materials and adapted to the scope of care provided in the intensive care units of the Department of Anaesthesia and Intensive Care Medicine, Charles University, 3rd Faculty of Medicine and FNKV.
