Detekce polymorfismu genu CYB5A ve vztahu ke skatolu, indolu a androstenonu u kanců
Lávičková, Monika
The presence of boar taint has a negative impact on the meat quality and it is prominent even after the cooking. It is caused mainly by the high concentration of phero-mones androstenone, indole and skatole present in fat tissues of animals. This bachelor thesis studies the problems of boar taint in uncastrated males and its impact on the quality of meat. Mainly the polymorphism of the gene CYB5A and its correlation with and-rostenone, indole and skatole was studied. In this thesis, the PCR-RFLP method was used to determine the genotypes of 40 male samples. Subsequently, the frequencies of alleles and genotypes were calculated. Using the SAS software, resulting data were statistically evaluated by association rules in studied genotypes CC and CT in relation to observed traits. The p-values of all samples were higher than 0,05 and thus the association of observed traits with the C>T polymorphism was not conclusive.
