Case Study of Physiotherapeutic Treatment of a Patient after Total Knee Arthroplasty

Michaela Stupková Title: Case study of physiotherapy care for a patient after total knee arthroplasty Objectives: The aim of this thesis is to elaborate theoretical knowledge regarding total knee joint endoprosthesis and discuss its treatment from the prespective of physiotherapy. At the same time, elaborate the course of physiotherapy care for the patient with this diagnosis. Methods: The thesis was divided into a theoretical and a special part. The theoretical part is devoted to information and knowledge about the diagnosis of total knee arthroplasty. In a special part, a case report of physiotherapy care of a selected patient from concurrent professional practice at the Nemocnice Vršovice in Prague was recorded. In a special part, the initial kinesiology examination, the course of 9 therapeutic units with the patient, the final kinesiology examination and finally the effect of the therapy is evaluated. Results: The patient's physiotherapy care was without complications. During 9 therapies, the patient's condition improved. More detailed results of the therapy are written in the chapter entitled evaluation of the effect of the therapy.
