Comidification and update of ethnological knowledge in film ganre folk horror

The main goal of this bachelor thesis is to determine how do modern folk horror creators utilize the knowledge of ethnological period realities and ethnological knowledge in general to create their movies. Within the history of folk horror film genre, the thesis thourougly examines and dales into the concept of the folk horror chain. This concept is extensively applied by its author to folk horror films of the sixies. Therefore, another aim of this thesis will be to ascertain whether the concept of the folk horror chain can also be applied to contemporary folk horror films selected for the research portion of this work.
