Detached house with a design office
Králík, Robert ; Majsniar, Michal (referee) ; Kolář, Radim (advisor)
This bachelor thesis focuses on the construction of a new family house with the inclusion of an office and a garage. This home is designed for a family of four with two cars housed in a spacious garage. The house will stand on a sloping field in Domasov near Brno on the New Street. The main entrance to the building is from the street to the northwest. Layout of the building is situated so that the residential and day rooms are on the side with more sunlight. Construction will have a square layout, partial basement with a gabled roof and a terrace. It will have a basement and two floors with residential attic. The vertical constructions will be made of shuttering blocks in the basement cellar, above-ground portion will be made of the ceramic block. Horizontal construction are made of ceramic-concrete ceiling beams and brick inserts. The truss will be wooden, purlin construction with a ridge runs. This work includes documentation and drawing parts and is compiled as an implementation project.
Sterile neutrino physics at NOvA experiment.

Title: Sterile neutrino physics at NOvA experiment Author: Róbert Králik Institute: Institute of Particle and Nuclear Physics Supervisor: RNDr. Karel Soustružník, Ph.D., Institute of Particle and Nuclear Physics Abstract: NOvA sterile neutrinos search via neutral current (NC) disappearance analysis is moving to a two-detector fit method to be able to fit to a wider range of sterile neutrino oscillations parameters. This introduces among other things a bigger contribution of the neutrino flux systematic uncertainty, which currently makes up the largest overall uncertainty for the ongoing NC disappearance anal- ysis. This thesis focuses on reducing this uncertainty and looks for different ways of making a more precise prediction of the neutrino flux. We point out Horn-Off analysis as the base for doing so and describe the production of a new Horn-Off simulation and the analysis of the Horn-Off results. We were not able to draw any conclusions that would reduce the NC disappearance systematic uncertainty, but the results showed herein can be helpful in the future attempts at a better neutrino flux prediction and a lower neutrino flux systematic uncertainty. Neutrino physics at NOvA experiment
Králik, Róbert ; Soustružník, Karel (advisor) ; Vorobel, Vít (referee)
Title: Neutrino physics at NOvA experiment Author: Róbert Králik Institute: Institute of Particle and Nuclear Physics Supervisor: RNDr. Karel Soustružník, Ph.D., Institute of Particle and Nuclear Physics Abstract: This thesis describes neutrino phenomenology, with special aim at the phenomenon of sterile neutrinos and its experimental study, particularly in the NOvA experiment. Its aim is to clearly and comprehensibly introduce sterile neutrinos in context of historical and present measurements and discoveries. A brief summary of neutrino history is shown, as well as the theory of neutrino oscillations, including a description of matter effects and the effect of adding sterile neutrinos on the oscillation probabilities. NOvA experiment is presented, describing the neutrino source, the detectors and the used particle identification methods. Different experiments for the study of sterile neutrinos are listed and shortly described, with special concentration on the NOvA experiment and its measurement via the neutral-current channel. A detailed description of the first NOvA sterile neutrino result is provided, as well as the aspects of NOvA's current sterile neutrino analyses. Keywords: neutrino, neutrino oscillations, sterile neutrinos, NOvA experiment 1
