Marie-Anna Kociánová Title: Small sacral monuments in the eastern part of the Kutná Hora region. The area between the rivers Kejnárka and Doubrava This bachelor thesis briefly characterises each type of wayside shrines and mainly focuses on their occurrence in east part of Kutná Hora district between Klejnárka and Doubrava rivers. The aim of the thesis is to determine at least approximately when each wayside shrine was built and in which city is the oldest one located, eventually also trace back which type of wayside shrines were built generally earlier and on the other hand generally later in this district. Another aim of the thesis is to compare characteristic types of shrines and their similarities in close-by villages as well as in the whole district. The similarities are for example a specific usage of materials and methods in a certain time period, or the same local builder being involved. The sub-aims are firstly to determine if there is any type of wayside shrine missing in one of the villages and its vicinity and secondly to determine if all of the wayside shrines are recorded in both present and historical cartographical sources.
