Virtual 3D Picture Gallery
Klvaňa, Miroslav
In the gallery we present stereoscopic couples of images, adjusted for observation of the 3D spatial effect and description of methods, by which we can get the spatial perceiving. The gallery is divided into 3DX gallery for observation of the model images by a method of crossed-eye axes and 3DH gallery for observation of the model images by a method of parallel-eye axes.

Virtual 3D Space
Klvaňa, Miroslav
We investigate the possibility of a direct visual observation of two color stereoscopic images in order to perceive these images spatially without the use of further technical aids. Such a method of the 3D effect evoking is known since a long time ago, but there are not many information concerning it, and they are mostly very inaccurate.

Zkušenosti s používáním metody local correlation tracking při studiu velkorozměrových rychlostních polí
Švanda, Michal ; Sobotka, Michal ; Klvaňa, Miroslav
We verify the reliability of the method recently used for the calculation of the large-scale velocity fields on synthetic dopplergrams obtained by a very simple numerical simulation of the supergranular pattern. A series of synthetic dopplergrams was stretched by the known vector field and the LCT was applied. The results were compared with the original vector field. Applying the LCT method on synthetic data we got an important experience in the behaviour of this method when used on full-disc dopplergrams. On the basis of the described tests we assume that the use of LCT on full-disc dopplergrams provides sufficiently reliable results, so that method could be used for mapping the large-scale velocities with resolution 60" and an accuracy 10 m/s.

Solar activity impulses
Bumba, Václav ; Klvaňa, Miroslav ; Garcia, A.
We study the sums of sunspot areas separately for the norhtern and southern hemisphere for each day during the four low activity cycles. During certain time intervals, the solar activity is characterized by isolated, suddenly appearing increases, on one, or simultaneously on both hemispheres.
