It contains a theoretical and a case section. The theoretical section is thematically divided into a general and a special part. The first part deals with general obstetrical brachial plexus palsy, in the second part are mentioned possible methodologies that can be used in the treatment of children of school age with residual damage. In the case section there is described the treatment of two patients in order to show the possibility of affecting the function of the shoulder girdle with the concept of Basal postural programs.

The thesis deals with the axial symmetry in infancy and its influence to a reflex locomotion of profesor Václav Vojta. It points out the possible causes of malfunction. It places emphasis on understanding the neurophysiological and kinesiological motor development patterns which form the basis for appreciating the correct measurement of child's postural maturity. These knowledges allow early recognition of the still underdeveloped malfunction is no longer present, the knowledges are essential for setting a targeted treatment plan. The theoretical findings were verified in practice and presented in the case reports of the clinical part. Case reports have been implemented with three clients of infant home in Most.
