Analysis and processing of measured data from crash tests
Klein, Martin ; Coufal, Tomáš (referee) ; Tokař, Stanislav (advisor)
This thesis presents four crash test of two cars, in which always a moving vehicle strikes with fully overlaid front part into the side part (cabin for passengers) of another stationary vehicle. Crash test were carried out to detect the impact parameters for use in the road accidents analysis. Experimentally measured data and the acquisition of documentation during crash tests were therefore analyzed in an appropriate manner in order to obtain relevant impact parameters. One of the main evaluated parameters was the deformation energy that has been used for the permanent damage to vehicles. In the forensic engineering practice for analyzing vehicle impacts is as a control parameter used EES (Energy Equivalent Speed), this parameter was counted according to measured values during crash tests.
Relation of Soluble Factors of Immune System to Fenotype of Idiopathic Inflammatory Myopathies
Klein, Martin ; Vencovský, Jiří (advisor) ; Hrnčíř, Zbyněk (referee) ; Horák, Pavel (referee)
Introduction: Idiopathic inflammatory myopathies (myositis, IIM) are heterogeneous group of rare autoimmune systemic diseases, characterized particularly by proximal skeletal muscle weakness. Heretogeneity of myositis is based on different pathogenetic mechanisms which may be reflected by variable imunophenotypic response in individual subtypes. Objectives: The aim of this work was to explore the associations and influence of soluble factors of immune system in patient's sera on phenotypic characteristics and subtypes of IIM, to describe their expression in inflammed muscle tissue and study their eventual role in pathogenesis by analysis of effect on immune and muscle cells in vitro. Results: We have described prevalence and characteristics of joint involvement in myositis patients and its significant association with anti-Jo-1 autoantibody. Further we confirmed the relation of anti-HMGCR antibody to immune mediated necrotizing myopathy, its tight relation to statins and recent increase in incidence. We showed inverse association of IFNα serum levels with muscle activity detected on MRI. Clinical activity positively correlated with IFN type-I pathway activation in patients with dermatomyositis. We also show positive correlation of resistin levels and clinical activity and correlation of activity...

Chemická a biologická charakteristika kambizemí v průběhu dlouhodobého pokusu
Klein, Martin
Diploma thesis is aimed at chemical and biological parameters of Cambisols. Se-lected subtypes were studied in Český Krumlov region (Stagnogleyic Cambisol at local-ity Desky and Haplic Cambisol at locality Malonty). In Třebíč region -- Haplic Cambi-sol (Náměšť) and Leptic Cambisol (Ocmanice) were studied during the period 2008 -- 2013. We determined active and reserved soil reaction, conductivity, nutrient content, and total organic carbon content, fractional composition of humus, humification degree, quality of humic substances in UV-VIS spectral range, bacterial biomass and soil basal respiration. Obtained results showed statistically significant differences in humic sub-stances content after compost amendment.
