This Bachelor's thesis commences by outlining the life of Vojtěch Hynais prior to his departure to Prague, delving into his mentors, the influences shaping the artist, and the pivotal works he produced during this period. The thesis then proceeds chronologically to the artist's arrival in Prague, addressing his integration into the Czech artistic scene, highlighted by the presentation of his painting The Judgment of Paris. One of the primary objectives of the thesis is to trace Hynais's activities as an architectural decorator and graphic designer, thereby emphasizing works of such nature. The thesis also considers significant portrait works and delineates the late phase of Hynais's oeuvre, which correlates with the dichotomy between progressiveness and conservatism, particularly within the context of academicism.
