Comparative characteristics of the Czech welfare state

The thesis discusses the overall characteristics of Czech welfare state. First it describes the emergence and evolution of the welfare state in general and divides particular types of welfare state according to Esping-Andersen's typology. Then it deals with the Czech welfare state. It characterizes the development since Austro- Hungarian Empire until 2010. It points to the specific nature of Czech welfare state, which consists of all different types of welfare state. In empirical part, the social transfer abuse is examined, using a regression model. The examination is restricted to sick-leave. The model shows relation between the sickness benefit, wage and sickness absence, which illustrates the high- probable benefit abuse. Finally the thesis discusses the main reason to defraud - low identification of citizens with the state, which stems from the history.
Změny v marketingové strategii leteckých společností v Evropě způsobené růstem nízkonákladových leteckých společností v Evropě

The aim of this thesis is to analyze the changes to marketing strategy of airline companies in Europe due the proliferation of low-cost carriers in Europe. The thesis is divided into three parts. In the theoretical part the marketing strategy framework is established by reviewing the latest literature on marketing theory and its application to the airline industry. The second chapter provides the historical background and shows the specifics of the airline industry in order to determine when the proliferation of low-cost carriers in Europe occurred. It also analyzes the impact the proliferation had on the business operations of the network carriers by looking at the changes to different elements of the marketing mix. Finally the third chapter summarizes the authors research on consumer behavior in the airline industry. The research was conducted through a quantitative questionnaire and it investigates consumers perception of price and brand awareness.
Health Care Reform in the United States of America

This thesis analyzes the anticipated impact of the health reform steps which are currently being carried out in the United States of America. It describes the current US health care system and it states main reasons for the necessity of a reform. The individual reform steps included in the "Affordable care act" are described. Several global reform trends are described in this paper. Author analyzes possible outcomes of the current health care reform based on these trends.
