Karlín, Petr ; Novotný, Jan (advisor) ; Kresta, František (referee)
This thesis considers some issues regarding geotechnical monitoring of settlement of subsoils on roads, highways in the Czech Republic. The first part try to explain process of construction embankments with following standards and prescriptions. Second part belongs to geotechnical monitoring of settlement of subsoils, where author had selected 7 measuring profiles for further work on archive exploration. From these exploration were excluded information about exact location. Third part is creation of 9 geotechnical models in 2D - Plaxis software, comparison with real data and short part about using this kind of work for practice use.

: During each transport buildings are used embankments, therefore it is important to carry out a detailed geological survey. The task of the survey is to determine the soil properties (soil) for such embankments, bridges and other objects depend on the load. For many objects is undesirable reduction embankment over time, this phenomenon is mainly caused by the consolidation of underlying layers. Parameters find out from the engineering-geological survey is calculating for better prediction of settlement which is based on the value of consolidation. In the following monitoring is measured by change in soil elevation relative to a reference point. These values are further processed and compared with the calculation. Main aim of this work is to unify the addiction values of loading, settlement and time for 90% consolidation.
