Copyright protection in the musical industry The puropse of my thesis is to analyse the musical work in context of the main source of the Czech copyright protection and with the inclusion of the protective instruments. The reason for my research is coming closer to the legal rules of musical work's application, thereby avoiding the unlawful use. First of all I pay attention to the basic information about the copyright and the musical work . At the digital age, due the technology development, is everyone able to use all these facilities, and there is no different in the musical industry. Authors, performers and recording companies, each of them is loosing every year their profits thank to the illegal use. There is no surprise they are inetersted in new facilities in the copyright protection and they are supporting the operating system. The thesis consists of night chapters, each of them is dealing with different aspects of the musical work. First introductory chapter defines what the intellectual property and copyright protection is, which matter of copyright is protected, including the Czech system of the copyright.
