Social skills and possibilities for their development in children with autism spectrum disorder
KYSILKOVÁ, Veronika
The bachelor's thesis deals with the development of social skills in younger school children with autism spectrum disorders. The thesis is divided into a theoretical part and practical part. The theoretical part focuses on basic information about individual types of autism spectrum disorders, presents the most important information related to the social skills of children with autism, and more specifically deals with specific manifestations of Asperger syndrome. The practical part focuses on group exercises of social skills. Using a qualitative research approach, the possibilities of compensating for deficits in social behavior and communication in children with Asperger syndrome are studied. The aim of the practical part of the bachelor's thesis was to introduce the specifics of the development of social skills through group excercises, and to pass on the experiences of the parents of the children who attended these exercises.
