The methodology of teaching the homeland study of a local region demonstrated on the example of folklore areas in the Czech republic.

Diploma thesis deals with methodology problems of regional homeland study education (place, where pupils live and/or attend school) in the 1st stage of elementary schools. At the first part diploma paper has been chosen five markedly folklor regions Czech, Hana, Chodsko, Krkonoše a Podkrkonoší, Prácheňsko, Valašsko, which are describe, is characteristic their limitation, their nature and culture interests, architecture, costomes, akcent, literature, dance, music, habits and tradition, gastronomy, personality, muzeum and open-air muzeum, chorus and association, festivals. From this information emanate didactic part of diploma paper, which present study text and work sheets for teaching homeland study at first grade elementary school. For every region, there were created study text, jobsheetand methodicals notes for teachers.
