Sprouting abilities of selected species in the genus \kur{Euphorbia}

This work was focused on experimental cultivation of selected species of the genus Euphorbia in a greenhouse in the botanical garden in Tábor, which were severely disturbed by cutting off the top of the growth under the uterine leaves of young plants. Half of the specimens were kept as controls. Of the 39 species obtained, 27 were able to grow and of this number, 18 species were able to form adventitious shoots from hypocotyl/root and survive: Euphorbia corollata, Euphorbia dendroides, Euphorbia epithymoides, Euphorbia gossypina var. gossypina, Euphorbia hetero-phylla, Euphorbia hierosolymitana, Euphorbia characias, Euphorbia characias 'Black pearl', Euphorbia characias ssp. wulfenii, Euphorbia lathyris, Euphorbia myrsinites, Euphorbia peplus, Euphorbia pithyusa subsp.cupanii, Euphorbia regis - jubae, Eu-phorbia stenoclada, Euphorbia stricta, Euphorbia terracina, Euphorbia tirucalli. This work represents the most comprehensive summary of the knowledge on the adven-titious sprouting of the genus Euphorbia, and I recommend to continue the follow-up study of the sprouting of other species of Euphorbia, especially succulent species.
