Využití výroby materiálů práškovou metalurgií pro aplikaci v dopravní a manipulační technice - rešeršní práce
KŮRKA, Martin
This bachelor thesis deals with the technological process of powder metallurgy and preparation of powder materials for applications in transport and handling technology. The first part focuses on the sequence of individual production operations in the form of preparation, processing, compaction, sintering and final finishing to obtain a final product with the desired properties. The second part provides an overview of specific applications and current trends in powder metallurgy. It covers areas such as engine components, cutting materials, powdered electrical contacts, magnetic and porous materials. In the case of materials for electrical contacts, these include silver and copper-based alloys. Other materials described are aluminium matrix composite (AMC) for magnetic materials and Cu-Sn-Zn-Gr alloy for self-lubricating bearings.
Teaching theoretical informatics using the CLIL method
KŮRKA, Martin
This diploma thesis deals with the design, preparation, and testing of teaching a theoretical topic in computer science using the CLIL method. I have chosen encoding and data transmission as my topic. I have created 7 teaching lessons, which contain over 30 activities and correspond to the expected outcomes according to the new framework curriculum for lower secondary education in the field of computer science. Each lesson has a different content focus. The created materials cover, for example the topic of character and number encoding, encryption, the use of the binary system and its limits, bitmap images and their encoding or data compression. All lessons are accompanied by method sheets in English, together with worksheets. The method sheets contain expected outcomes and possible problems that may occur. The lessons and activities themselves are then described in detail in the practical part. Since all the objectives and expected outcomes were met during my testing in practice, my conclusion is that the CLIL method is suitable for teaching the theoretical topic of computer science. However, a certain amount of support in the mother tongue was needed for teaching, which decreased as the students' confidence increased. It was also necessary to provide students with support in the form of visual aids such as worksheets. The most important fact is that during the testing the content was not neglected at the expense of language development and vice versa. In the theoretical part of this thesis, I describe the field of computer science according to the updated framework curriculum for primary education, especially the area of data, information, and modelling. Furthermore, in the theoretical part, I discuss the principles, benefits, and methods of the CLIL method.
Online technologies in distance teaching of English language
KŮRKA, Martin
This bachelor thesis focuses on the mapping of distance teaching of the English language in high schools with an emphasis on the role of online technologies in this teaching. I conducted six semi-structured in-depth interviews with selected English language teachers. I chose these based on a questionnaire survey of first-year students in university who were graduating from English and had the opportunity to provide me with a contact on their former English teacher. I also conducted interviews with students who were students of these teachers at the time of the research to triangulate the data. During the interviews, I was interested in what online tools the teachers used in their distance teaching, how they became familiar with them, and how they received information about these tools. Furthermore, I explained the scope and methods in synchronous and asynchronous teaching and how each method and goal changed due to distance learning. I also focused on the comparison of the effectiveness of distance teaching versus face-to-face teaching, as well as what are the positives and negatives of distance teaching and the barriers to effective distance teaching. Lastly, I found out how the respondents' experience will affect the future of English language teaching. The theoretical part of this bachelor thesis describes online tools suitable for distance teaching of the English language.
