Defibrilatable and non-defibrilatable rhythm in cardiac arrest, prognosis
Jursíková, Kateřina ; Knor, Jiří (advisor) ; Emlerová, Marta (referee)
This thesis focuses on fibrillatable and non-defibrillatable rhythm. The purpose of the work was to evaluate the prognosis of the results of CPR during fibrillable and non-defibrillable rhythms. Another goal was to evaluate more frequent cardiac arrest in male population compared to female population. In the statistical part, I converted the values from the provided data into numerical values using the so-called matrix. Then I had created pivot tables which I subsequently inserted into the chi-square test of independence. By this process, I was able to confirm or disprove the theory. 432 people (100 %) were part of research between years 2019 and 2020 . Of them all, 112 (25,93 %) were women and 320 (74,04 %) were men. There were 141 (32,64 %) fibrillable input rhythms from which 51 (36,17 %) CPR cases ended with lethal outcome. On the other hand, 90 (63,83 %) respondents with fibrillable rhytm ended with result of successful return of spontaneous circulation. There were 291 (67,36 %) non-defibrillatable rhythms, from which 220 (75,60 %) respondents succumbed to medical condition and 71 (24,40 %) respondents ended with result of successful return of spontaneous circulation. Based on this research, I found that the incidence of cardiac arrest is higher in male population than in female population. In another...
