Analýza výše škod na zvěři ve vybraných modelových honitbách

This bachelor thesis deals with evaluation of dead animals in selected modeled hunting areas. It discusses two main causes that occur during hunts - the amount of damage due to intensive farming and/or traffic. First part summarizes researched knowledge about this topic available in the literature. The main part includes collection of data and its analysis looking specifically into the number of dead animals during spring-haymaking as well as during other field works, use of electric fences during agricultural and forestry activities. In addition, it considers other types of damage related to car traffic, species, sex, age and quantity. The extensive collection of data was later used for financial analysis to estimate value for each species, years and modeled hunts based on the price list for poached animals according to species, sex and age. The last part of the thesis aims to propose measures that could lead to reduction of dead animals. This proposed solution can help to protect the animal welfare and to reduce the loss significantly upon studied factors.

Identifikace potenciálních příležitostí v cirkulární ekonomice ve vybraném odvětví národního hospodářství

The aim of this work is to describe the principles of circular economy and bioeconomics and find opportunities for its use in the condition of Czech forestry. To achieve this goal, the method of mapping material flows in forestry in historical, current, and predicting future values was chosen, and key actors in the industry were selected. In-depth interviews were conducted with them and a professional workshop was organized. Based on the discussion, barriers were defined according to the PESTLE method and the list of possible mitigation measures was created, including the selection of the most promising possibilities of using wood biomass locally and with the highest added value.
