Vojta reflex locomotion impact to the locomotor system of the patients with spinal cord
Kohutová, Veronika ; Špaňhelová, Šárka (advisor) ; Hyšperská, Veronika (referee)
The aim of this thesis was to evaluate the Vojta method therapy impact to the muscles function of the upper limbs of patients with tetraplegia. This is a pilot study, which was attended by five probands. To objectify the results, the method of surface electromyography was adopted. EMG activity of 14 muscles of the upper limbs and shoulder girdle during selected movements before and after therapy was recorded. The choice of therapeutic positions and activation zones was individual. Although a few muscles show significant changes, statistically considerable influence of the therapy cannot be confirmed from the obtained results. But from the point of view of clinical observation and patients 'subjective feelings an obvious difference can be seen. Therefore, it may be in the future advantageous to monitor the impact of Vojta method to locomotor system through clinical methods such as functional tests, tests of independence, range of motion or kinematic analysis.
Function of diaphragm and respiratory muscles after spinal cord injury in the short and medium term
Brujevičová, Lucie ; Šulc, Jan (advisor) ; Hyšperská, Veronika (referee)
The scope of work was to obtain an objective idea of the function of diaphragm and respiratory muscles in patients after spinal cord injury at defined intervals during the first six months. According to ATS standards of pulmonary function tests were examined 15 probands (3 women and 12 men) with complete or incomplete spinal cord lesions, who were divided according to the ASIA score. This work describes improvements in lung function over time in group C4-C8/A,B and group Th1-Th6/A,B and shows that the average lung function are better at lower levels of lesions.
Spasticity of Spinal Etiology - An Overview of the Most Frequently used Examination Methods and Proposed Functional Examination
Miklovičová, Martina ; Hyšperská, Veronika (referee) ; Gocalová, Lucie (advisor)
The aim of the thesis "Spasticity of Spinal Etiology" is to create a complex overview of the spasticity of spinal etiology problems focused on the methods of measuring and evaluation of spasticity. The Theoretical part defines spasticity, the spastic syndrome of spinal etiology and methods used for investigation of patients. The practical part describes conditions and results of questionnaire research among physiotherapists; its aim was to discover which investigative methods and practice they use. The part Discussion presents a proposal of investigation based on the results of questionnaire and theoretical data, its aim is to define a relation between spasticity and functional abilities of a patient. The part Appendix contains pictures, illustrations of functional tests, questionnaire, proposal for functional test and pivot tables. Powered by TCPDF (www.tcpdf.org)
