This thesis concerns Czech contemporary composition for harp, specifically the solos, chamber music and concertos by Czech composers. It describes the current state of research - four diploma theses written on the Czech contemporary repertoire. This thesis presents certain authors who have written works for harp - P. Eben, J.F.Fischer, I. Loudová, Z. Matějů, L. Matoušek, K. Slavická a P. Zemek giving their brief biography, enlisting their works with harp and mainly presenting interviews with the composers concerning their attitude to harp and their methods of dealing with the specific technical features of harp.I give more information about the structure or creation background of selected pieces. The analytic chapter gives the comparison of different approaches to harp in the work of the selected composers. The background for this comparison is mainly the interviews with the comopsers or my own konwledge of their pieces. The integral part of the thesis is also a large table of the contemporary Czech composition for harp, placed in the appendix.

This bachelor thesis contains mainly biography of Jana Boušková and her gulded discography. The first part describes important events and countless achievements of the artistic life of this world - renowned harpist. The discography section provides the following information ( if available) of all the CD projects in which Jana Boušková participated : title, number, artists, publisher and year of publication, time and venue of recording, music and sound director, contents. The conclusion of my work summarizes the different aspects of importance of Jana Boušková for the Czech culture. As a source I used mainly infomation from personal interviews with my professor Mrs. doc. Jana Boušková and documents which she kindly lent me ( brochures of the competitions and the World Harp Congress, concert programs, CDs, newspaper articles). Another important source of information was the internet. Also doc. Bouškova´s mother, profwssor of Prague Conservatory Mrs. Libuše Váchalová kindly gave me an interview.
