Reflection of Asia Minor catastrophe and the expulsion of the Sudeten Germans from Czechoslovakia in Greek and Czech literature The bachelor thesis focuses on two important historical events that affected Greek and Czech history. These are the Asia Minor catastrophe that took place in 1922 and the expulsion of the German population from Czechoslovakia after the Second World War. These events profoundly influenced the history of both countries and subsequently began to appear in Greek and Czech literature. The first part discusses the historical context and the course of the two events mentioned above. First, it examines the causes, course and consequences of the Asia Minor catastrophe and then the causes, course and consequences of the expulsion of the Germans from Czechoslovakia. In the next part of the thesis, the literature and the authors working with the mentioned historical events are discussed in more details. This part includes an overview of Greek literature reflecting the events of 1922, as well as an overview of Czech literature dealing with the expulsion of Germans. The last part contains a more specific presentation of two selected pieces of literature, Ματωμένα χώματα by Dido Sotiriu and Vyhnání Gerty Schnirch by Kateřina Tučková.
