Horálková, Miriam ; Řasová, Kamila (advisor) ; Hrušková, Natália (referee)
Aims: The aim of the study is to evaluate the effect of MPAT therapy on postural stability using a selected parameter among physiotherapy students with functional motor system disorders. The sub-objective of the study is to evaluate the change in the occurrence of TrP after the first two physiotherapy sessions in the experimental group. Methods: 24 physiotherapy students of the 3rd LF UK, average age 20.9 ± 1.0 years, were divided into two groups. The experimental group attended 7 times 90 minutes of ambulatory physiotherapy using the method of a Motoric program activating therapy during three months. The control group did not change their previous habits. Both groups were examined at the beginning and at the end of the intervention. In addition, the experimental group was examined during the therapy for the occurrence of TrP after 2 sessions. The instrumental measurement of postural stability was performed at the FTVS, UK, using a tensometric platform in 4 tests - standing with a narrow base of support, with eyes open and closed, and one-leg stances. Examination of TrP was provided at the 3rd LF UK by palpation. Paired and two-sample t-test was used to assess statistically significant difference between examinations and between groups. The level of statistical significance was set at α = 0.05....
