Hambergerová, Karla ; Pokorný, Ondřej (advisor) ; Budiman, Michaela (referee)
The bachelor's thesis deals with the topic of small domestic animals in Indonesia through the description of the non-profit organization Animal Friends Jogja, whose target is to take care of abandoned pets in the city of Yogyakarta and its vicinity. An important point of the thesis is also the socio-cultural and historical aspects of these activities in Indonesia. The introductory part of the thesis presents the phenomenon of pets from the perspective of Indonesian history and also describes the approaches of religious systems present in the Indonesian archipelago. Furthermore, this part of the thesis focuses on the description of the current state of breeding small domestic animals in Indonesia and divides them into two groups according to their origin. The second part describes the issue of the pets in terms of the law of animal breeding in Indonesia. The third part of the thesis provides an analysis of the approach of Indonesians to economically unconditional breeding of domestic animals on a specific example of the inhabitants of Yogyakarta. This part is also enriched with field research in the form of an online questionnaire survey, whose respondents are workers and volunteers from the surveyed organization Animal Friends Jogja.
