Změny v likvidaci pojistných událostí vyplývající z nového Občanského zákona

The thesis focuses on the issues of liquidation insured events on vehicles from car instance which is associated with new law of number 89/2012 Sb., the civil code. It describes the changes that arose with the accession of the new civil code as opposed to old civil code no. 40/1964 Sb., which was valid until 29th December 2013. There is described a process of liquidation and specific changes in determing the cost of repairing the vehicle and calculate the real damages. Based on the information suggests a means for assessing the effectiveness of the repair costs.
Mergers in the Czech Republic from a legal, accounting and tax point of view

This thesis deals with legal, accounting and tax aspects of mergers in the legal environment of the Czech republic, particularly in relation to the amendment to Act. No. 125/2008 Coll., on Transformations of Trading Companies and Cooperatives, and to other related legislation. Furthermore, the paper identifies the main differences in accounting solutions when performed according to Czech accounting standards and IAS/IFRS, defines the basic features and characteristics of mergers and acquisitions and outlines their current importance in the international context. The above is demonstrated on the case of a merger of two capital-related companies in the telecommunications industry. Using quantitative and qualitative methods, the present work also evaluates the success of the selected transaction.
Canada's position in international trade

The aim of this thesis is to assess Canada's position within international trade, in relation with the country's past economic development and its current economic situation. Another objective of the thesis is to analyze the country's trade policy at both multilateral and bilateral level. In this context, the thesis assesses the importance of economic relations between Canada and its main trading partners, i.e. the United States and the European Union. An important part of the thesis also deals with the Canada-EU free trade agreement (so called CETA) which is currently under negotiation and is expected to be signed in late 2011.
