Energy efficient family house

The aim of the bachelor´s project is to design an energy-efficient family house. The house is located in Frýdlant nad Ostravicí. The building consists of 2 above-ground storeys and a garage. The house has 3 different roof levels. All roofs are flat. The main façade is oriented to the south. The main entrance to the house is situated on the south façade. The ground floor offers spacious living area, that is connected to the rest of the house by open corridor. On the ground floor there are also a study, utility room, bathroom, and garage. On the first floor there are master bedroom, kid’s rooms, bathroom, and the gallery above the staircase area. The building is designed on reinforced concrete foundation strips. The vertical load-bearing walls are designed from sand-lime blocks, insulated with a certified ETICS system. The horizontal load-bearing structures are designed from cast-in-place reinforced concrete. The object is connected to the following utilities – electricity grid, water main and sewage. The house is heated by air/water heat pump. The distribution is mainly provided by underfloor heating. The building is ventilated by the MVHR unit with the efficiency of heat recovery of 91 %. The distribution ducts are installed in the ceiling voids. The rainwater from the roofs is captured and stored in the 8,3 m3 underground water tank. It is used afterwards mainly for the flushing of toilets and irrigation purposes. The photovoltaic power station is installed on the roofs. The expected outcome of energy equals 7,55 MWh.
