The dissertation deals with an enterprise content management system (ECM). It is divided into two larger parts, theoretical and practical. In the theoretical part, the author describes a lifecycle of enterprise applications and an enterprise content management system. The practical part focuses on analysing the current state and proposing a call for the tender for the supply of the information system.

Analysis and design of business intelligence solution for chosen company

This work deals with the problems associated with deploying Business Intelligence (BI) applications to a selected company in the sector of small and medium-sized enterprises. Initially, the work focused on defining the topic itself and the creation of theoretical foundations. Further the criteria for the division of enterprises depending on their size was established. A suitable solution for such companies may be Self-Service BI (SSBI) products. The practical part focuses upon the implementation of BI via Microsoft PowerPivot and Power View with regard to a particular company. Developing from this the implementation of the project, along with supporting analyses, is discussed. Finally, recommendations are detailed to improve the overall state of the information systems (IS) of the company.
